Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Armando Jesus made the kick off which started today's match. After 4 minutes of play, O Varzinense F.C.'s Hildeberto Jesus made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Moniz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, O Varzinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Araújo came free, but Raimundo Gouveia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Simões in the 16th minute of play forced SC Calhariz's goalkeeper Mariano Moniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasco Simões struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Mariano Moniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for O Varzinense F.C.. If Armando Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Gouveia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Resende in the 27th minute of the match. Raimundo Gouveia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Araújo went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to SC Calhariz getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Raul Resende hit a great ball. Belchior Santana hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, SC Calhariz's Carlos Gaspar tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Joaquim Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Raimundo Gouveia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vasco Simões made a kick off. Joaquim Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Calhariz's Raul Resende got a free kick in the 57th minute. Rubim Sequeira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mariano Moniz. SC Calhariz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reinaldo Palha lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 60 minutes into the game, one of O Varzinense F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave SC Calhariz a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Gaspar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of O Varzinense F.C.'s Raimundo Gouveia. 1-2. Armando Jesus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Raimundo Gouveia made a huge save. Armando Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Gouveia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Jesus in the 82nd minute of play. Raimundo Gouveia was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Joaquim Araújo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joaquim Araújo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. O Varzinense F.C.'s Raimundo Gouveia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save O Varzinense F.C. from getting a goal against them. Armando Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Raimundo Gouveia made a huge save. In the 91st minute of the match, Armando Jesus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raimundo Gouveia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
