Virgílio Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Assis having to interfere. Fabiano Balsemão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Gustavo Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Linhares in the 9th minute of play. Joaquim Faria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serafim Salazar came out and tried to block the shot, but Joaquim Faria slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. If Domingos Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Salazar having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Freixofeira FC's zone, Virgílio Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Assis came out of the goal and Virgílio Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Assis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Balsemão in the 24th minute of the match. Domingos Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Serafim Salazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Borba kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Virgílio Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freguezia's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgílio Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Assis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafim Salazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Faria in the 38th minute of play. Freixofeira FC's Gustavo Assis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Linhares in the 41st minute of play. Emanuel Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Serafim Salazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serafim Salazar having to make a save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabiano Balsemão made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabiano Balsemão got free with Gustavo Assis in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquim Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Salazar having to interfere. Serafim Salazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Faria in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute Joaquim Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Salazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevin Prates hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes Freixofeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Amaral. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Balsemão in the 74th minute of play forced Freixofeira FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Assis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Domingos Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serafim Salazar was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Virgílio Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Assis. Freixofeira FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgílio Linhares got free with Gustavo Assis in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 played minutes Freixofeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Amaral. Virgílio Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Freguezia booed when Freixofeira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvestre Abreu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gustavo Assis. Freixofeira FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
