The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Portugal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Januário Saldanha took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saúl Maciel. Saúl Maciel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Isac Portugal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inácio Leal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Cruz in the 25th minute. Inácio Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Portugal, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Eusébio Cruz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Inácio Leal 30 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Sporting Club de Portugal defense, Januário Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saúl Maciel. The Sporting Club de Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saúl Maciel should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Dário Junqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saúl Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Vilhena, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Severiano Amado kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Inácio Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Portugal in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isac Portugal to strike the kick off in the second half. Inácio Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Cruz in the 51st minute of play. Inácio Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isac Portugal in the 55th minute of the match. Orbacem's Inácio Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Cruz in the 57th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Eusébio Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saúl Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Januário Saldanha in the 69th minute of play. Jordão Baía charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordão Baía the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Sporting Club de Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Jordão Baía. If Caio Vilhena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Portugal in the 80th minute of play. Armando Rios charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Rios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd match minute, Orbacem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Rios to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Orbacem's zone, Eusébio Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Leal came out of the goal and Eusébio Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eusébio Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Portugal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Orbacem! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Sporting Club de Portugal. Rodrigo Esteves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Inácio Leal. 3-2. In the 96th minute, Isac Portugal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Club de Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Orbacem's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
