After a rather tough play, SC Cabanes's Inácio Leite got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Rodrigues in the 5th minute of play forced SC Cabanes's goalkeeper Bruno Morais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Simão Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Mariano Santarém hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Clube de Laborim's Eusébio Leiria got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Morais having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, SC Cabanes's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Rodrigues came free, but Bruno Morais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eusébio Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eusébio Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bruno Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucjan Tworek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simão Santarém struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Talip Kaplan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cabanes. Bruno Morais made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Gomes in the 41st minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 53rd minute, Simão Santarém fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Talip Kaplan, passed just outside the right post. When Sporting Clube de Laborim's Eusébio Leiria in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Cabanes's goalie prevented a goal. After 58 minutes, Fábio Bessa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cabanes and the Sporting Clube de Laborim players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Laborim's Cristiano Morais got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube de Laborim's zone, Hélder Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Talip Kaplan came out of the goal and Hélder Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Simão Santarém fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cabanes's protests and gave Simão Santarém a yellow card for diving instead. Simão Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cabanes's zone, Eusébio Leiria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Morais came out of the goal and Eusébio Leiria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Eusébio Leiria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube de Laborim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Leiria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eusébio Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bruno Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Sporting Clube de Laborim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Valente to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, SC Cabanes's Amílcar Gonçalves tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Jorge Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Clube de Laborim's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Morais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão Santarém struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Talip Kaplan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cabanes.
