Leonardo Valério started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Jairo Raposo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CRUZADAS.FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Raposo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. António Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Valério in the 15th minute of the match. Paulo Malafaia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Raposo in the 17th minute of the match. If Rubim Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubim Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Malafaia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Leonardo Valério ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. António Matias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Roots's Paulo Malafaia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Raposo in the 49th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Rubim Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aprígio Arruda's late challenge caught a Roots's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aprígio Arruda helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CRUZADAS.FC's Aprígio Arruda got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Rubim Viegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th match minute, CRUZADAS.FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Jordão to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Valério hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Gonçalo Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Malafaia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermínio Jordão went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 96th match minute, CRUZADAS.FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
