The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heitor Garcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 11 played minutes, Karpe team's Plácido Furtado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frederico Alcântara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Karpe team reached it. 12 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Curado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karpe team the free kick. In the 12th minute, Rodolfo Curado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Norberto Roriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Roriz in the 25th minute of play forced Karpe team's goalkeeper Heitor Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heitor Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micael Bragança in the 27th minute of the match. Norberto Roriz struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Heitor Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capelo. Heitor Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micael Bragança in the 31st minute of the match. Gastão Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gastão Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Capelo got a freekick which was hit by Gastão Varela. If Micael Bragança had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Micael Bragança received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Heitor Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Germano Silva fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karpe team's protests and gave Germano Silva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Karpe team getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Germano Silva hit a great ball. Micael Bragança fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Garcia having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guilherme Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Éder Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karpe team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Éder Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guilherme Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Norberto Roriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Heitor Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Karpe team's zone, Micael Bragança stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heitor Garcia came out of the goal and Micael Bragança tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norberto Roriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Garcia having to interfere. Heitor Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Micael Bragança in the 75th minute. Heitor Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Roriz in the 77th minute of play. When Norberto Roriz came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Capelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Roriz couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Capelo's goal looked a bit too open when Éder Henriques came free, but Frederico Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Guilherme Luz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frederico Alcântara. Capelo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme Luz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.
