Adelino Vilas Boas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Rubim Castanheira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geraldo Pimentel struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Avelino Parente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peitimao FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Padilha in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Avelino Parente saved SC Sabadim from getting behind. Geraldo Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avelino Parente having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Aldo Padilha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peitimao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Padilha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adelino Vilas Boas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Prada having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Padilha in the 23rd minute of play forced SC Sabadim's goalkeeper Avelino Parente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelino Vilas Boas spun around in front of the goal 26 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Peitimao FC's goal. Peitimao FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Adelino Vilas Boas 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Aldo Padilha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Avelino Parente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Padilha in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adelino Vilas Boas was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, SC Sabadim's goalkeeper Avelino Parente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geraldo Pimentel. A collision led to SC Sabadim getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Valentim Santana hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Azeredo in the 55th minute of play forced Peitimao FC's goalkeeper Reinaldo Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandro Prada kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Reinaldo Prada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Vilas Boas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Sabadim's goalkeeper Avelino Parente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute Adelino Vilas Boas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Sabadim's zone, Aldo Padilha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avelino Parente came out of the goal and Aldo Padilha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 71 in the game by Geraldo Pimentel from a close distance when the talented Avelino Parente managed to make a qualified save. SC Sabadim's players were relieved. Adelino Vilas Boas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Prada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Aldo Padilha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Avelino Parente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Telmo Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaldo Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Azeredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Peitimao FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Sabadim from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
