After a rather tough play, SC Ovil's Lúcio Rocha got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Aldo Padilha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peitimao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Padilha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Borba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fábio Borba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Bentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Bentes in the 14th minute of play forced SC Ovil's goalkeeper Fábio Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alexandre Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peitimao FC's goalkeeper Reinaldo Prada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to SC Ovil getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. David Soares hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the game, Lúcio Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Ovil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peitimao FC the free kick. After 34 played minutes SC Ovil got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Rocha. Aldo Padilha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Aldo Padilha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aldo Padilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

In the 52nd minute, Eduardo Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Ovil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Alexandre Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, Alexandre Baptista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reinaldo Prada. Alexandre Baptista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Luís Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, one of Peitimao FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 0-4 came through a penalty shot after 74 played minutes, when SC Ovil:s António Macedo calmly waited for Peitimao FC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. The supporters of Peitimao FC booed when SC Ovil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fábio Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Padilha in the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Alexandre Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ovil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th match minute, Peitimao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Bentes to maneuver through the defense. After 92 minutes, Geraldo Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peitimao FC and the SC Ovil players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Alexandre Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ovil's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
