Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Flávio Vieira started the match with the kick off. Pinheirinho's Mariano Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Vieira in the 3rd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Emanuel Matias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinheirinho and the SC Lisbon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuel Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 25th minute, when SC Lisbon's Jacinto Miguéis after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Mariano Cabral in Pinheirinho's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. In the 26th match minute, Pinheirinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Dias to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Paulo Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Resende was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. If Manuel Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Flávio Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lisbon's supporters rose to their feet, but Flávio Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Flávio Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Cabral. Pinheirinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 44th minute, SC Lisbon's Flávio Vieira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Lopes to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jesualdo Ferreira in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jesualdo Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mariano Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pinheirinho getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Armando Freitas hit a great ball. Raul Cerqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mariano Cabral. Pinheirinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Flávio Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesualdo Ferreira in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Pinheirinho defense, Jesualdo Ferreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Cabral. The Pinheirinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Cabral should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute, Emanuel Matias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesualdo Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Simões got free with Manuel Resende in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flávio Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Cabral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flávio Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Simões got free with Manuel Resende in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Pinheirinho's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
