In the 3rd minute, Murilo Neves made a precise shot to the right of Joaquim Marques. Adaval's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of Adaval booed when Tabuaço FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Bettencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Falcão struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Joaquim Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabuaço FC. After having played for 12 minutes, Murilo Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabuaço FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sálvio Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Horta, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Maciel in the 21st minute of play forced Tabuaço FC's goalkeeper Sálvio Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Falcão in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Domingos Calçada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Márcio Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murilo Neves took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim Marques. Joaquim Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Sálvio Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Horta in the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodolfo Falcão made a kick off. Joaquim Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Falcão went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute Alexandre Horta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sálvio Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Sálvio Leiria managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Adaval's Márcio Maciel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67th minute, Tabuaço FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Márcio Maciel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sálvio Leiria was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Alexandre Horta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alexandre Horta really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. When Domingos Calçada came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Adaval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Calçada couldn't finish the play. After 89 minutes of play, Adaval's Márcio Maciel made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sálvio Leiria was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Tabuaço FC's Sálvio Leiria got control of the ball when Márcio Maciel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sálvio Leiria made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Márcio Maciel sent off a good shot on target. If Murilo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
