Arques's Marcelo Candeias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Fontes in the 12th minute of play. Vítor Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermes Perdigão in the 23rd minute of the match. Cândido Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Marcelo Candeias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Coelho to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Bruno Candal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Candal's late challenge caught a Chulos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Candal helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Arques got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Candal. After 62 minutes of play, Arques's Bruno Candal made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vítor Ferreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vítor Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albérico Coimbra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cândido Fontes in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Candeias saved Arques from getting behind. When Emílio Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chulos FC's protests and gave Emílio Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chulos FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Emílio Mendes hit a great ball. In the 77th match minute, Arques was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermes Perdigão to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermes Perdigão in the 80th minute of the match. When Tiago Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Chulos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Coelho couldn't finish the play. Despite being the better team, Chulos FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
