David Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almiro Caires having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, António Campos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Almiro Caires. Pinhal Lions's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that António Campos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. David Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almiro Caires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octávio Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Pinhal Lions's Almiro Caires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Trindade in the 39th minute of play. Almiro Caires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Campos in the 44th minute of play. David Trindade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Almiro Caires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when David Trindade made the kick off in the second half. António Campos charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Campos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Almiro Caires made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when António Campos sent off a good shot on target. António Campos in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Almiro Caires, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. David Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almiro Caires having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, António Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Gralheira's supporters rose to their feet, but António Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almiro Caires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Campos in the 67th minute of play forced Pinhal Lions's goalkeeper Almiro Caires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Campos got free with Almiro Caires in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Almiro Caires made an important save on a dangerous shot by António Campos in the 71st minute. Almiro Caires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Trindade in the 73rd minute of play. David Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If António Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pinhal Lions's zone, Albertino Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almiro Caires came out of the goal and Albertino Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Gralheira's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
