Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Donato Regalado kicked off to start the match. Laurentino Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurentino Vaz came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Guardas's Jorge Amorim. But to his dismay, Jorge Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The attack was good, but when Ricardo Antunes in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Olavo Fragoso hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Amorim in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laurentino Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of SC Risca booed when SC Guardas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Risca's zone, Ricardo Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurentino Vaz came out of the goal and Ricardo Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ricardo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jorge Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurentino Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Jorge Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half SC Guardas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Antunes made a kick off. After 53 played minutes SC Guardas got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Coimbra. After a defensive mix-up in SC Guardas's zone, Donato Regalado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Leiria came out of the goal and Donato Regalado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rui Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Garcez in the 70th minute of play. Ricardo Antunes struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Laurentino Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Guardas. Jorge Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentino Vaz having to interfere. With his leg Laurentino Vaz managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when SC Guardas's Ricardo Antunes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Laurentino Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Antunes in the 82nd minute of play. If Manuel Garcez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Donato Regalado put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rui Leiria. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Guardas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
