The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltasar Sales got free with Rui Fernandes in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Rodrigo Delgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Cidoes's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Júdice came free, but Rui Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Gustavo Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Duarte Avelar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodrigo Delgado's late challenge caught a Salgueirais FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Delgado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Salgueirais FC booed when Cidoes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Baltasar Sales left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salgueirais FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Almeida in the 38th minute of play forced Salgueirais FC's goalkeeper Duarte Avelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Evandro Júdice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes, Luís Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cidoes and the Salgueirais FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Evandro Júdice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Delgado to make the kick off. When Rodrigo Delgado came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Cidoes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Delgado couldn't finish the play. Salgueirais FC's Duarte Avelar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Salgueirais FC from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 57 in the game by Gustavo Almeida from a close distance when the talented Duarte Avelar managed to make a qualified save. Salgueirais FC's players were relieved. Gustavo Almeida in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cidoes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Cidoes:s Rui Fernandes showed great skill when he stopped Ricardo Bandeira:s penalty. In the 64th minute, Ricardo Bandeira made a precise shot to the right of Rui Fernandes. Cidoes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Rodrigo Delgado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. After 67 played minutes Cidoes got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Delgado. After having played for 69 minutes, Evandro Júdice managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salgueirais FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evandro Júdice was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cidoes's Rui Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Sales in the 72nd minute of play. Jorge Silva hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Baltasar Sales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Júdice in the 76th minute of the match. Gustavo Almeida struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Duarte Avelar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cidoes. Gustavo Almeida succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 86th playminute. When Evandro Júdice fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salgueirais FC's protests and gave Evandro Júdice a yellow card for diving instead. Evandro Júdice hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 99th minute, Baltasar Sales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Fernandes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cidoes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Salgueirais FC.
