Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonardo Dias started the match with the kick off. Manuel Fernandes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Távora took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rui Castro. Ciborro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Lourenço Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciborro's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesário Candal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, Ciborro's Alexandre Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesário Candal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Nélson Vaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Castro. Ciborro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nélson Vaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Metades FC booed when Ciborro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Metades FC's goalkeeper Cesário Candal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ciborro's Alexandre Amaral in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Metades FC's goalie prevented a goal. 36 minutes into the match, Metades FC's goalkeeper Cesário Candal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lourenço Mendes. With a little luck, Metades FC's Cesário Candal got control of the ball when Lourenço Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonardo Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rui Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Metades FC's goalkeeper Cesário Candal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lourenço Mendes. After the first half Metades FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Amaral was the one to do the kick off. Lourenço Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cesário Candal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute Alexandre Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesário Candal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesário Candal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Amaral in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Ciborro's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Dias came free, but Rui Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match Vladimiro Távora shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cesário Candal came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciborro's Alexandre Amaral. But to his dismay, Alexandre Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Ciborro getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. João Amorim hit a great ball. When Lourenço Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ciborro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lourenço Mendes couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Ciborro's Rui Castro got control of the ball when Nélson Vaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 86 minutes, Yuri Domingos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metades FC and the Ciborro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yuri Domingos hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ciborro's Lourenço Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesário Candal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Ciborro failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
