Yuri Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesário Candal having to make a save. After the first half Casconho were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nélson Vaz succeeded in the game's 55th minute to get real power on a long shot . Casconho's Joaquim Modesto hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-1! When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Joaquim Bragança took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Cesário Candal to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Dias in the 64th minute of play forced Casconho's goalkeeper Joaquim Modesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Freire hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Joaquim Bragança's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesário Candal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Cesário Candal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Bragança, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Metades FC's Cesário Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Bragança in the 85th minute of play. Casconho's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
