Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Adelino Faro made the kick off which started today's match. Fábio Abrantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Faro in the 5th minute of the match. After 5 minutes, Honorato Cortez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cuba and the Cogambreiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Cuba's Honorato Cortez got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Horácio Branco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rui Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeferino Brito in the 10th minute of play. Cândido Pedroso's late challenge caught a SC Cuba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cândido Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cogambreiro FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Cândido Pedroso hit a great ball. Adelino Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the game, Horácio Branco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rui Pereira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute Artur Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Abrantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílcar Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílcar Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, one of Cogambreiro FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cogambreiro FC. Afonso Vieira walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Adelino Faro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Abrantes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Rui Pereira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeferino Brito's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zeferino Brito to make the kick off. Artur Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fábio Abrantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A long shot from João Nogueira in the 58th minute of play was well struck, but Fábio Abrantes made a really good save at the right post. If Zeferino Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Horácio Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Faro in the 71st minute of play forced SC Cuba's goalkeeper Fábio Abrantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored SC Cuba's protests and gave Sílvio Patrício a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cogambreiro FC booed when SC Cuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Patrício didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Zeferino Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeferino Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Pereira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeferino Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Cogambreiro FC's Rui Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Branco in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Horácio Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Pereira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeferino Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Horácio Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Cuba had played much better football throughout.
