Lucas Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Trigueiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jordão Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of thunder nation booed when Sporting Clube Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zdzislaw Mazurkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Vítor Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jordão Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szczepan Czeszejko, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, thunder nation's Valério Laureano got a free kick in the 26th minute. The audience held their breath when Gabriel Vieira in the 28th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jordão Cordeiro's left hand side. Lucas Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Trigueiro in the 31st minute of the match. If Gabriel Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Szczepan Czeszejko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jordão Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Fernandes in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in thunder nation's zone, Gabriel Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jordão Cordeiro came out of the goal and Gabriel Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. thunder nation's Jordão Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Fernandes in the 46th minute of play. Szczepan Czeszejko struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jordão Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Clube Portugal. After the first half Sporting Clube Portugal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vítor Trigueiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jordão Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Vieira in the 67th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Vítor Fernandes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jordão Cordeiro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vítor Fernandes got free with Jordão Cordeiro in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the game, Cristiano Azevedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jordão Cordeiro. Cristiano Azevedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 84th minute, Sporting Clube Portugal's Cristiano Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Sousa during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorge Sousa hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Américo Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
