Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Damaia's Gaspar Correia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Jesus was a little too slow when André Nogueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Retaxo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Jesus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Nogueira. Tiago Santos scored 1-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Paiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernando Magalhães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Jesus. That made the score 2-2 in the 24 minute of play. Vítor Paiva came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Retaxo FC's Paulo Paredes. But to his dismay, Paulo Paredes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Tiago Santos put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Vítor Paiva. The audience was convinced that Tiago Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Paiva was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st match minute, SC Damaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Martins to maneuver through the defense. When Tiago Santos fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Retaxo FC's protests and gave Tiago Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Tiago Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Retaxo FC were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by André Nogueira in the 53rd minute of play forced Retaxo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Paulo Paredes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Paiva. SC Damaia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Paredes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. 61 minutes into the match, SC Damaia's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Santos came free, but Vítor Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, João Assis threw the ball into play from the sideline. Retaxo FC's Paulo Paredes quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Correia in the 67th minute of play forced Retaxo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulo Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Nogueira in the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Retaxo FC's Paulo Paredes got a free kick in the 74th minute. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Hélder Nogueira put it in 3-5 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Jesus. Gaspar Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Pedro Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Santos got free with Vítor Paiva in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Retaxo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
