Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rúben Barbosa made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Mazouco's Hermenegildo Laureano got a free kick in the 5th minute. Geraldo Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Rúben Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mazouco's Nélson Pinto got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Rúben Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Mazouco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rúben Barbosa couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes Meios's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Graciano Veríssimo who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Mazouco's Graciano Veríssimo to fire away a dangerous shot which Eduardo Costa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Meios's Pedro Nascimento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egídio Meira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eduardo Costa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Graciano Veríssimo. In the 45th minute Pedro Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afonso Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Meios's Oliveira Tavares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Egídio Meira. That made the score 0-2 after 53 minutes of play. Afonso Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egídio Meira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Oliveira Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Meira having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Meios's Pedro Nascimento got a free kick in the 60th minute. Oliveira Tavares struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Egídio Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meios. Hermenegildo Laureano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Costa having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Meios's zone, Geraldo Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Costa came out of the goal and Geraldo Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rúben Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mazouco's goalkeeper Egídio Meira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Semedo's late challenge caught a Meios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Semedo helped the player get up and apologised. 82 minutes into the match, Meios's goal looked a bit too open when Rúben Barbosa came free, but Eduardo Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Cabral hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Geraldo Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Meira having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Meios had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
