Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mocho's Diamantino Maia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Diamantino Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Amadeu Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Gaspar Freitas made a huge save. If José Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd match minute, Mocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, José Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Carpalhosa's supporters rose to their feet, but José Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Resende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Leal took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Resende. Carlos Resende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Alexandre Costa put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of SC Carpalhosa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mocho:s goal. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Mocho. Eusébio Bessa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gaspar Freitas. 1-2. If Amadeu Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Carpalhosa's zone, Amadeu Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Freitas came out of the goal and Amadeu Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in SC Carpalhosa's zone, Amadeu Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Freitas came out of the goal and Amadeu Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mocho:s Carlos Resende showed great skill when he stopped Pedro Pedroso:s penalty. After 54 minutes of play, SC Carpalhosa's Pedro Pedroso made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Resende was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Diamantino Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Diamantino Maia hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Gaspar Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When José Leal came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SC Carpalhosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Leal couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Leals short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Carlos Resende to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gaspar Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diamantino Maia's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeu Carvalho in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Freitas saved SC Carpalhosa from getting behind. The SC Carpalhosa players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
