Carlos Resende came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Touvedo's Abel Neto. But to his dismay, Abel Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Amadeu Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Guerreiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeu Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bento Viana during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bento Viana hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Adolfo Guerreiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diamantino Maia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. In the 17th minute, Sebastião Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vítor Pereira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Resende. Mocho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Mocho's Diamantino Maia in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Touvedo's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Aguiar was the one to do the kick off. If Abel Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Resende having to interfere. When Alberto Valente fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mocho's protests and gave Alberto Valente a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mocho's Alberto Valente got a free kick in the 54th minute. The supporters of SC Touvedo booed when Mocho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mocho's Diamantino Maia got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 70th minute, Amadeu Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mocho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 78th minute, Abel Neto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Maia in the 81st minute of play forced SC Touvedo's goalkeeper Adolfo Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Amadeu Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diamantino Maia in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Guerreiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 97th minute, SC Touvedo's José Aguiar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
