Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Américo Gueifão got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes in the game, Nuno Macedo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gaspar Freitas having to interfere. Américo Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Soares having to interfere. SC Carpalhosa's Gaspar Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Macedo in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the Basto FC defense, Américo Gueifão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Soares. The Basto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Soares should have stopped the shot. Alexandre Costa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Soares. Basto FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SC Carpalhosa's Américo Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Duarte Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Carpalhosa's protests and gave Duarte Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot 36 in the game by Adolfo Morais from a close distance when the talented Gaspar Freitas managed to make a qualified save. SC Carpalhosa's players were relieved. Pedro Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Nuno Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gaspar Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, José Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Carpalhosa's supporters rose to their feet, but José Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Gonçalo Leiria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Soares made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when José Leal sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Basto FC's Júlio Viegas got a free kick in the 79th minute. Gaspar Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Morais, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Nuno Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Nuno Macedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
