SC Revel's Lourenço Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Távora in the 5th minute of play. Cristiano Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, SC Revel's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Távora came free, but Lourenço Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermínio Ramires hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Afonso Dias came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the SC Revel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Dias couldn't finish the play. Hermínio Ramires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lourenço Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Dias in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Américo Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Amílcar Taborda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hermínio Ramires came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Sport Clube Rio Tinto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio Ramires couldn't finish the play. Lourenço Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermínio Ramires in the 28th minute. After 31 played minutes SC Revel got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Andrade. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Távora in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lourenço Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lourenço Vaz made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Hermínio Ramires sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd match minute, Sport Clube Rio Tinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almiro Madruga to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SC Revel's zone, Hermínio Ramires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Vaz came out of the goal and Hermínio Ramires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Moutinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lourenço Vaz. SC Revel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hermínio Ramires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lourenço Vaz having to make a save. If Hermínio Ramires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Manuel Távora made a precise shot to the right of Lourenço Vaz. SC Revel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Hermínio Ramires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Vaz having to interfere. Sport Clube Rio Tinto's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
