Miguel Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Miguel Cordeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forlusitanos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Carlos Setúbal kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Alfredo Santarém made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Setúbal during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Forlusitanos booed when Corotelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corotelo's Pedro Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veríssimo Regueira in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes in the game, Miguel Cordeiro dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Forlusitanos fully deserved thier win.
