Alexandre Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentino Fontes having to interfere. A collision led to Guimil FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Amílcar Faro hit a great ball. Luís Monteiro hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Sandro Toscano struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jorge Amaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Brinco. 1-0 became the score in the 18th minute when Catarino Bernardes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Alexandre Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute Samuel Abrantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Alexandre Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Brinco's Laurentino Fontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Álvaro Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Brinco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guimil FC the free kick. Álvaro Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Jorge Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Bernardes in the 43rd minute of the match. Guimil FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Catarino Bernardes scored to the left of an out of position Jorge Amaro, making the score, 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Catarino Bernardes was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Abrantes scored 3-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Amaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 58 played minutes Guimil FC got a freekick which was hit by António Magalhães. Laurentino Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Nascimento in the 61st minute. The supporters of Guimil FC booed when SC Brinco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70thth minute of the game Alexandre Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Brinco's Laurentino Fontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Catarino Bernardes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Jorge Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Amaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel Abrantes went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After 87 played minutes SC Brinco got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Amorim. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Nascimento got free with Laurentino Fontes in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guimil FC's Jorge Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Abrantes in the 94th minute of play. If Catarino Bernardes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Brinco's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
