Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Fataca's Afonso Gonçalves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Fataca's Marcelo Manso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Bernardes in the 3rd minute of play. After 3 played minutes SC Fataca got a freekick which was hit by Valter Baía. SC Brinco's Catarino Bernardes got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romão Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentino Fontes having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Gonçalves in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laurentino Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Romão Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the SC Fataca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romão Salgado couldn't finish the play. Luís Monteiro hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. SC Brinco's Laurentino Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Brinco from getting a goal against them. If Romão Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Afonso Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Fataca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Brinco's Laurentino Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Brinco from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute Afonso Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurentino Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Valter Baía hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Marcelo Manso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Bernardes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Valter Baía hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 58 in the game by Samuel Abrantes from a close distance when the talented Marcelo Manso managed to make a qualified save. SC Fataca's players were relieved. Laurentino Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Gonçalves in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Afonso Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Fataca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurentino Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 75th minute, Caetano Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Brinco's Laurentino Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romão Salgado in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Catarino Bernardes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Manso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, SC Fataca's Afonso Gonçalves made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laurentino Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romão Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentino Fontes having to interfere. Laurentino Fontes came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Fataca's Afonso Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Afonso Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 90 minutes into the match, SC Fataca's goalkeeper Marcelo Manso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Abrantes. Laurentino Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Gonçalves in the 95th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes SC Fataca got a freekick which was hit by Hermes Godinho. When the referee ended the match the SC Fataca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
