Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nuno Carneiro got the match started through his kick off. Jaime Cabral scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Soares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. SC Gaspalha's Pedro Luz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Gaspalha from getting a goal against them. Jaime Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Pedro Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes SC Gaspalha got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Coelho. Pedro Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Cabral's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Jorge Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luz having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Gaspalha's Pedro Luz got control of the ball when Jorge Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jaime Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Soares having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Cunha hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Nuno Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Morais hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Messines FC's Nuno Morais got a free kick in the 67th minute. After recieving a nice pass, SC Gaspalha's Jorge Valente tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pedro Soares was a little too slow when Ricardo Coelho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-3. After 79 minutes, Nuno Carneiro made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. SC Gaspalha's Pedro Luz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pedro Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Gaspalha's zone, Nuno Morais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luz came out of the goal and Nuno Morais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Pedro Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Messines FC. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Gaspalha walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
