The supporters of Presalves booed when Carrico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Peralta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Quintas having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Ricardo Aguiar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Carrico's António Quintas. António Quintas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Darien Casals made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Hermes Camacho sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. António Quintas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Quintas having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Presalves's Basílio Barbosa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Basílio Barbosa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Presalves protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Basílio Barbosa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 30th minute Paulo Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Quintas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Presalves's Darien Casals played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Martins in the 31st minute of play. Jacob Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Presalves's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Martins came free, but Darien Casals reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Melo struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. António Quintas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Presalves. António Quintas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukasz Haken in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 51 minutes, Maurício Igrejas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carrico and the Presalves players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darien Casals made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Martins in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Presalves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukasz Haken to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Carrico getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Germano Quintanilha hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Paulo Melo made a precise shot to the right of António Quintas. Carrico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Melo got free with António Quintas in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darien Casals showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Martins in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Presalves's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Calçada came free, but Darien Casals reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Presalves eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
