Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Armindo Fonseca started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes, Jacinto Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mascarenhas and the Seixal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacinto Silva hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the match, Mascarenhas's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Tarka came free, but Edmund Kluska reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When António Viegas fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seixal FC's protests and gave António Viegas a yellow card for diving instead. 15 minutes into the game, one of Seixal FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Manuel Faria came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Mascarenhas's Armindo Fonseca. But to his dismay, Armindo Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of Seixal FC booed when Mascarenhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmund Kluska made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Vale in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Seixal FC's zone, Armindo Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Faria came out of the goal and Armindo Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Daniel Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Armindo Fonseca sped through Seixal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Faria. After a rather tough play, Mascarenhas's Jacinto Silva got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Afonso Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mascarenhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seixal FC the free kick. Afonso Nascimento hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miromir Tarka made a kick off. If Armindo Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Mascarenhas's Jacinto Silva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Pedro Freitas hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Armindo Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Faria having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miromir Tarka in the 71st minute of play forced Mascarenhas's goalkeeper Edmund Kluska to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Faria made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Armindo Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Seixal FC's Miromir Tarka got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Armindo Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armindo Fonseca might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Fonseca ran back to his position shaking his head. Armindo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Manuel Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Santos in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Alexandre Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Seixal FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Armindo Fonseca fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mascarenhas's Edmund Kluska played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Vianna in the 94th minute of play. Alexandre Esteves hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
