Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mogoito's Simão Torres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edmund Kluska showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Torres in the 3rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Armindo Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mascarenhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Armindo Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Avelino Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mogoito's Avelino Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Fonseca in the 11th minute of play. With a little luck, Mascarenhas's Edmund Kluska got control of the ball when Reinaldo Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmund Kluska showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Armindo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Avelino Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mogoito's Torcato Fernandes got a free kick in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Mascarenhas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
