Hugo Pedroso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Eiró in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Calvaes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Ramos came free, but Hugo Barcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Donato Júdice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Oliveira's late challenge caught a Calvaes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Oliveira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sardao FC's Paulo Oliveira got a free kick in the 9th minute. Hugo Pedroso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Eiró in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Humberto Assunção put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hugo Barcelos. Álvaro Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Sardao FC's Hugo Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Domingues in the 19th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Álvaro Lisboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute of the game, Donato Júdice landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 26 minutes into the game, Álvaro Paiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sardao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calvaes FC the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Sardao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Calvaes FC's Hélio Rebocho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sardao FC. Hugo Pedroso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Eiró in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Sardao FC's Bruno Simões got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Calvaes FC's Afonso Eiró got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Valente's late challenge caught a Calvaes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Valente helped the player get up and apologised. 36 minutes into the game, one of Sardao FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Hugo Pedroso, was totally fooled by Calvaes FC's Hélio Rebocho, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 46th minute, Sardao FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Afonso Eiró fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

A collision led to Calvaes FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Elias Domingues hit a great ball. In the 67th minute of the match Luís Valente shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Barcelos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hugo Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Afonso Eiró struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Hugo Pedroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calvaes FC. In the 77th minute, Elias Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calvaes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Afonso Eiró recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Eiró in the 87th minute of play forced Sardao FC's goalkeeper Hugo Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Calvaes FC.
