Afonso Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Algarve FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Vale came free, but Homero Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Bernardo Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Algarve FC's Homero Quadros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matias Barata during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Algarve FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Matias Barata hit a great ball. Homero Quadros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Afonso Lima showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. With a little luck, Algarve FC's Homero Quadros got control of the ball when Afonso Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Bernardo Vale recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Homero Quadros. Bernardo Vale showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Bernardo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Homero Quadros having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, SC Pejao's Afonso Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Homero Quadros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Algarve FC's Matias Barata got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Matias Barata off the ground. In the 42nd minute Bernardo Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Homero Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Eduardo Melo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Algarve FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pejao the free kick. After a rather tough play, Algarve FC's Eduardo Melo got a free kick in the 45th minute. Homero Quadros came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Pejao's Afonso Lima. But to his dismay, Afonso Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SC Pejao booed when Algarve FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Valentim didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Afonso Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Algarve FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Vale came free, but Homero Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, SC Pejao's Bernardo Vale made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Homero Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! SC Pejao's Paulo Luz suffered a sore thigh after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Edgar Bento charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Bento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes Algarve FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Bento. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Algarve FC's Edgar Bento in the 80th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Afonso Andrade was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Pejao through an amazing save. Edgar Bento succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-1 in the 80th playminute. Pedro Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Homero Quadros having to interfere. The supporters of SC Pejao booed when Algarve FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sálvio Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Homero Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Algarve FC's Homero Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Lima in the 95th minute of play. If Afonso Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Pejao had won after a very even match.
