GAIENSES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedito Malta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 19th minute, GAIENSES's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Benedito Malta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 26th minute Cassiano Vilaverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Brás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Bombo Fc got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Teles. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedito Malta made a kick off. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind GAIENSES's goalkeeper Gusmão Bezerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 83 minutes into the game, Cassiano Vilaverde recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filipe Brás. Cassiano Vilaverde showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Benedito Malta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gusmão Bezerra having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bombo Fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while GAIENSES had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
