Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Veiga kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Eliseu Albuquerque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Calmar's zone, Bruno Henriques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Valente came out of the goal and Bruno Henriques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Calmar booed when Xertelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Colaço didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Nuno Martins shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Palmiro Eanes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manuel Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Palmiro Eanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Veiga in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jordão Carvalhais made a kick off. If Eliseu Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palmiro Eanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Daniel Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Palmiro Eanes. Xertelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Xertelo's Palmiro Eanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Leite in the 72nd minute of play. In the 79th minute Manuel Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Palmiro Eanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Calmar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Altino Colaço received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jorge Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eliseu Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Xertelo players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Calmar from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
