After a defensive mix-up in Ramada FC's zone, Rui Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Bezerra came out of the goal and Rui Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Bezerra was a little too slow when Rui Fontes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Oporto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Campelo came free, but Delfim Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ramada FC's Hugo Bezerra got control of the ball when Basílio Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo Bezerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Pires in the 19th minute. Rui Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Bezerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Rui Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oporto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Oporto FC's Afonso Moreira got a free kick in the 41st minute. Oporto FC's Delfim Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Moura in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Miguel Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Delfim Lopes made a huge save. 56 minutes into the match, Miguel Moura notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Oporto FC's Delfim Lopes. Delfim Lopes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aldo Campelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Lopes having to interfere. Rui Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Hugo Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Bezerra having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Campelo in the 82nd minute of play forced Oporto FC's goalkeeper Delfim Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Hélio Parente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ramada FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oporto FC the free kick. Hélio Parente kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Basílio Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Hugo Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramada FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Oporto FC's much stronger midfield.
