António Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Campos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Bruno Garcia struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Afonso Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Curvite. SC Curvite's António Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonso Campos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but António Gomes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Viriato Araújo struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Rui Moniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espiunca FC. Paulo Amorim, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Afonso Campos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bruno Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Campos having to interfere. SC Curvite's Bruno Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for António Gomes to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Viriato Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Moniz was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Curvite fans cheered their team off the field, for while Espiunca FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
