Donato Bragança made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Gomes in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Egídio Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Regateiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Egídio Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Regateiras's Donato Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Gomes in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to SC Regateiras getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Frederico Freire hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Regateiras's zone, António Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Bragança came out of the goal and António Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Donato Bragança tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Regateiras getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rodolfo Laureano hit a great ball. António Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Curvite's Rui Moniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save SC Curvite from getting a goal against them. When Bruno Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the SC Curvite fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Garcia couldn't finish the play. SC Regateiras's Donato Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Gomes in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, António Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Curvite's Bruno Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Moniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egídio Valadares to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Egídio Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Bragança having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Valadares during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Curvite booed when SC Regateiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Miranda hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Bruno Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Donato Bragança made a huge save. António Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Donato Bragança tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederico Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Donato Bragança made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Garcia in the 76th minute. After 79 played minutes SC Curvite got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Lisboa. After having played for 80 minutes, Egídio Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Regateiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egídio Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Bragança made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Bruno Garcia sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Nuno Campos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Gomes in the 92nd minute of play forced SC Regateiras's goalkeeper Donato Bragança to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Bruno Garcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Bragança was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.
