Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Cunha started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Nuno Mendes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bairro do Rosário F. C. and the Espiunca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Bairro do Rosário F. C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Espiunca FC:s goal. After 5 minutes Bairro do Rosário F. C.'s goalkeeper Anselmo Nascimento managed, with a little bit of luck, save Paulo Vaz's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Rui Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Viriato Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Rui Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 played minutes Bairro do Rosário F. C. got a freekick which was hit by António Malafaia. Pedro Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Vasques in the 16th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match, Pedro Vale got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anselmo Nascimento was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Bairro do Rosário F. C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. António Malafaia hit a great ball. Anselmo Nascimento was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paulo Vaz. The supporters of Bairro do Rosário F. C. booed when Espiunca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bairro do Rosário F. C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Pedro Vale scored to the left of an out of position Anselmo Nascimento, making the score, 1-0. 40 minutes into the match, Bairro do Rosário F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Araújo came free, but Anselmo Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Araújo to make the kick off. Luís Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Campos having to interfere. Bairro do Rosário F. C.'s Teodoro Vasques got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 minutes, Júlio Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Espiunca FC and the Bairro do Rosário F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 minutes of play Espiunca FC's Rui Lopes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Espiunca FC's Rui Lopes got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Luís Cunha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Afonso Campos, 1-2. If Luís Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Vale in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Bairro do Rosário F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armindo Balsemão to maneuver through the defense. If Viriato Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pedro Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 97th minute Pascoal Malheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
