Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pesqueiro FC's Ricardo Trindade started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Pesqueiro FC's Alberto Ribeiro threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ricardo Trindade, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 5th minute, Américo Araújo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alberto Ribeiro. The goal made the score 1-0. Carlos Guarda took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Pinheiro. Gaspar Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Viriato Oliveira made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Red Bull FC's José Mendes. Red Bull FC's Carlos Guarda got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute of the match, Ricardo Trindade tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alberto Ribeiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Carlos Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Red Bull FC booed when Pesqueiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Soares scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Pinheiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Red Bull FC's José Cunha got a free kick in the 38th minute. Red Bull FC's José Mendes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by David Fonseca in the 41 minute of the game. After some careless play in the Red Bull FC defense, Américo Araújo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Ribeiro. The Red Bull FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Ribeiro should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice moves Carlos Guarda could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Gaspar Pinheiro however easily saved by the left post. Alberto Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Trindade, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Alberto Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Trindade in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Américo Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Tiago Assis in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Red Bull FC's José Cunha. In the 92nd minute Ricardo Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Américo Araújo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pesqueiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3.
