Sandro Moura made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Hugo Dantas sent off a good shot on target. Giesteira FC's Ainar Vaasna got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Hugo Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Giesteira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Dantas couldn't finish the play. Sandro Moura was a little too slow when Ainar Vaasna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Eusébio Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The Giesteira FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Giesteira FC's Ainar Vaasna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 23rd minute Ainar Vaasna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Giesteira FC's Ainar Vaasna dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. 30 minutes into the match, Jorge Gonçalves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sérgio Moutinho. Giesteira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Gonçalves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. 35 minutes in the game, Ainar Vaasna dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ainar Vaasna in the 41st minute of play forced Zimbreira FC's goalkeeper Sandro Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Gonçalves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Zimbreira FC's Marco Aleixo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sérgio Moutinho. Sérgio Moutinho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-2. After 61 played minutes Giesteira FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Barbosa. Artur Oliveira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sérgio Moutinho. Giesteira FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Hugo Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Jorge Gonçalves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Sérgio Moutinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sérgio Moutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Aleixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Sérgio Moutinho made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Catarino Pinho sent off a good shot on target. Ainar Vaasna scored 6-3 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandro Moura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lourenço Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Aleixo got free with Sérgio Moutinho in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zimbreira FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Giesteira FC.
