After 11 played minutes Dao FC got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Carvalhais. In the 13th minute, Normando Sobral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sálvio Sales in the 14th minute of play forced C.C.R.COVAS's goalkeeper Serafim Calçada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafim Calçada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zarco Palmeira in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, C.C.R.COVAS's goal looked a bit too open when Zarco Palmeira came free, but Serafim Calçada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Espinosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Resende in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.C.R.COVAS's zone, Jorge Barata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafim Calçada came out of the goal and Jorge Barata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serafim Calçada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zarco Palmeira in the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Lucas Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Espinosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dao FC's José Espinosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Resende in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Jorge Fagundes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Espinosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Fagundes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Lucas Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Espinosa having to interfere. Zarco Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Resende was the one to do the kick off. Dao FC's José Espinosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Resende in the 51st minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dao FC's goalkeeper José Espinosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jorge Barata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60thth minute of the game Zarco Palmeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.C.R.COVAS's Serafim Calçada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Couto hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Serafim Calçada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarco Palmeira in the 68th minute of play. José Espinosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Dao FC's Jorge Barata got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Dao FC booed when C.C.R.COVAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amável Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Jorge Barata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafim Calçada was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Serafim Calçada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Barata in the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Lucas Resende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 80 minutes, Gonçalo Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dao FC and the C.C.R.COVAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Dao FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gonçalo Passos hit a great ball. The supporters of C.C.R.COVAS booed when Dao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sálvio Sales didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Resende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jorge Fagundes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the C.C.R.COVAS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dao FC.
