Carlos Leiria might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raul Gomes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Leiria ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Meixedo FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Paulo Sá hit a great ball. Cláudio Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Daniel Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catarino Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Pinto in the 12th minute of the match. Kalancas F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Sérgio Pinto scored to the left of an out of position Catarino Ribeiro, making the score, 1-0. Kalancas F.C.'s Catarino Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Pinto in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Kalancas F.C.'s Catarino Ribeiro got control of the ball when Rogério Leiria tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogério Leiria got free with Catarino Ribeiro in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
