A collision led to SLB ALMEIDA getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Teófilo Nascimento hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, SLB ALMEIDA's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Nunes came free, but Isidoro Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Sousa having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evandro Calçada was the one to do the kick off. Cristiano Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Jorge Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Calçada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vedor's Jorge Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SLB ALMEIDA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
