Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Avelino Diegues made the kick off which started today's match. In the 8th match minute, SC Covinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe lacerda to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 9 minutes, Mariano Ferrão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Ferrão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Avelino Diegues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adérito Fernandes having to interfere. Mariano Ferrão's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adérito Fernandes firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 17 minutes, Avelino Diegues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Avelino Diegues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Raposo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Ferrão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adérito Fernandes having to make a save. Mariano Ferrão scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adérito Fernandes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mariano Ferrão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Covinhas's zone, Mariano Ferrão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adérito Fernandes came out of the goal and Mariano Ferrão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Covinhas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Juvenal Baía 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Avelino Diegues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Adérito Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Mariano Ferrão sped through SC Covinhas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adérito Fernandes. Avelino Diegues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Adérito Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adérito Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Baía in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 52 minutes of play, Braga FC's Avelino Diegues made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adérito Fernandes was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Braga FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Martinho Quintas hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Homero Portela shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Moreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Avelino Diegues made a precise shot to the right of Adérito Fernandes. SC Covinhas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. If Mariano Ferrão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avelino Diegues in the 80th minute of play forced SC Covinhas's goalkeeper Adérito Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martinho Quintas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Adérito Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avelino Diegues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Ferrão in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adérito Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the game, Germano Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Covinhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Braga FC the free kick. A collision led to SC Covinhas getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Germano Soeiro hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Braga FC were the better team. Braga FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
