The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Germano Soeiro during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes SC Covinhas got a freekick which was hit by Germano Soeiro. A collision led to Murzeleira getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Gabriel Trindade hit a great ball. Inácio Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adérito Fernandes having to interfere. Gabriel Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Adérito Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murzeleira's Inácio Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adérito Fernandes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Trindade's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horácio Rijo in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Castro saved Murzeleira from getting behind. Artur Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Rijo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Horácio Rijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Artur Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Murzeleira getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Cláudio Veiga hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes Murzeleira got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Vieira. Murzeleira's Artur Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Murzeleira from getting a goal against them. Jarbas Raposo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 46th minute of the match, Jarbas Raposo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Artur Castro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horácio Rijo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Jarbas Raposo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Artur Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of SC Covinhas booed when Murzeleira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Miguel Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarbas Raposo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarbas Raposo in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Castro saved Murzeleira from getting behind. Artur Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horácio Rijo's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Melo in the 79th minute of play forced SC Covinhas's goalkeeper Adérito Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Sacadura in the 82nd minute of play. If Horácio Rijo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Covinhas's Adérito Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Melo in the 88th minute of play. Adérito Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Melo in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Gabriel Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murzeleira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Trindade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horácio Rijo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Covinhas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
