Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Horácio Rijo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 7 minutes, Germano Soeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Covinhas and the Messegaes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Messegaes booed when SC Covinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jarbas Raposo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adérito Fernandes was a little too slow when Oliveira Magalhães got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Albertino Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adérito Fernandes having to make a save. Jarbas Raposo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sebastião Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Raposo in the 26th minute of play forced Messegaes's goalkeeper Sebastião Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Messegaes's Oliveira Magalhães in the 28th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Adérito Fernandes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Covinhas through an amazing save. Oliveira Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliveira Magalhães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adérito Fernandes having to make a save. In the 41stth minute of the game Horácio Rijo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Messegaes's Sebastião Gueifão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Horácio Rijo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Gueifão having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliveira Magalhães to strike the kick off in the second half. Albertino Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Covinhas's goalkeeper Adérito Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 69 played minutes SC Covinhas got a freekick which was hit by Germano Soeiro. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Albertino Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Messegaes's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adérito Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horácio Rijo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jarbas Raposo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliveira Magalhães took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adérito Fernandes. Adérito Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jarbas Raposo scored 2-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Gueifão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Messegaes had won after a very even match.
