The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Távora got free with Simão Domingos in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Porto booed when Pelintras Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antero Teves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Domingos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Moreira in the 19th minute of the match. Vasco Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aparício Mendonça in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Novais saved Pelintras Futebol Clube from getting behind. Fernando Novais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aparício Salvado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Aparício Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Aparício Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Novais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aparício Salvado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Novais having to interfere. Aparício Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fernando Novais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Novais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidro Simões went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 47 minutes into the match, FC Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Moreira came free, but Simão Domingos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Pelintras Futebol Clube's Vasco Moreira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Simão Domingos. Simão Domingos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vasco Moreira made a kick off. Quintino Serpa charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quintino Serpa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes FC Porto got a freekick which was hit by Quintino Serpa. 56 minutes into the match, Vasco Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão Domingos. FC Porto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasco Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Simão Domingos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Moreira in the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Aparício Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Aparício Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 63rd minute, Pelintras Futebol Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aparício Mendonça fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fernando Novais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aparício Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Adolfo Távora notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of FC Porto's Simão Domingos. Simão Domingos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute of the match Antero Teves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simão Domingos skillfully saved the ball. Aparício Mendonça in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernando Novais, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Isidro Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Fernando Novais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Pelintras Futebol Clube's Fernando Novais got control of the ball when Aparício Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Renato Sesimbra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aparício Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Fernando Novais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Porto. Zarco Borba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Aparício Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Novais. Pelintras Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aparício Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
