Catarino Valente charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Catarino Valente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, SC Cerejal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Valente to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Borba in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to SC Cerejal getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ricardo Pinho hit a great ball. Eduardo Mendes struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Gabriel Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regilde. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Brito got free with Gabriel Ferro in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 played minutes SC Cerejal got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Faro. Eduardo Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ferro having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, SC Cerejal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Soares to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Mendes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Gabriel Ferro 34 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Borba in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, SC Cerejal's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Mendes came free, but Gabriel Ferro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Ferro was a little too slow when Eduardo Mendes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The SC Cerejal fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when SC Cerejal's José Borba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 59th match minute, Regilde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Brito to maneuver through the defense. If José Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Pinho in the 64th minute. José Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Simões having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Regilde's José Assunção got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Gabriel Ferro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristóvão Almeida hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Gabriel Ferro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Regilde's Fernando Brito shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Regilde had won after a very even match.
