In the 8th minute, Eduardo Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute Fernando Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Laureano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Regilde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Brito during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fernando Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Heitor Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heitor Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Regilde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Vicente Rebelo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. With a little luck, Regilde's Rodrigo Simões got control of the ball when Paulo Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Eduardo Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cândido Laureano. FC DIDI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Delgado to make the kick off. After having played for 60 minutes, Fernando Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Regilde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Regilde getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Fernando Brito hit a great ball. Rodrigo Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Cordeiro in the 65th minute of play. Jaime Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paulo Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rodrigo Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Cordeiro in the 94th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jaime Delgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Simões was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
